About Doris

I began my massage therapy career right here in Petaluma where I graduated at the top of my class from National Holistic Institute, a College of Massage Therapy. The 720-hour state accredited program included studies in Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, Eastern and Western massage modalities. I am skilled in various massage techniques including, but not limited to, Swedish, trigger point therapy, deep tissue, Myofascial therapy, and prenatal massage.

I opened the doors of my Body In Balance Massage Therapy studio in the Spring of 2014 after working for 3 1⁄2 years at Serendipity A Chiropractic Wellness Center. I feel I hold a speciial place in my heart for helping clients recover from injury and surgery and helping to bring them back to a pain-free life. I of course also love to pass on the many health benefits of massage to my clients. I begin each session with a clear understanding of my client’s needs and I am able to tailor a massage plan to best suit their needs. My nurturing and compassionate touch is deep enough to effectively alleviate sore muscles and gentle enough to bring about complete relaxation. My intention for every session is to create a space that allows the mind and body to return to its natural state of harmony and balance. My philosophy is that touch and bodywork are essential to health and well-being. I appreciate the importance in nurturing ourselves to sustain a balanced well-being and feel blessed to be a part of the process.

I am honored to hold the title of Best Massage Therapist by the Petaluma People’s Choice Awards for the past three years (2012, 2013 & 2014).

Along with running my private practice I am also a fitness coach. In August of 2013 I joined the Fitness Revolution family. I am very excited to be a part of such an amazing group of coaches who truly care about the success of each individual that walks through their door. I also look forward to helping motivate and support everyone on their quest for improved health and fitness.

Outside of massage I enjoy spending time with my husband and three amazing kids. I have a passion for spending time outdoors and being active. A true love of mine is Outrigger Paddling and I am part of the Lokahi Outrigger Canoe Club here in Petaluma. My life is filled with great friends and fabulous family.
